Welcome to the Harvey Dunmore Scholarship Charity Foundation
The Foundation was set up by Joanne and Colin Dunmore in order to create something positive and lasting whilst honouring and remembering Harvey who tragically lost his life in a fatal air accident at age 21.

The purpose of the Foundation is to provide flying scholarship opportunities for enthusiastic, ambitious, aspiring young aviators just like Harvey, to help them on their aviation journey towards becoming a successful and professional pilot.

We aim to provide scholarship opportunities to local aspirant aviators from the North East and North Yorkshire.
Inaugurated in 2023, the Harvey Dunmore Scholarship Foundation Charity has raised funds via generous Gofundme donations, as well as all of the proceeds made from the annual Bagby Airfield Flyaway Ball. To date, 2 gliding and 2 Private Pilot Licence scholarships have been awarded to 4 very worthy young aspiring aviators.
For many youngsters becoming a pilot is simply a dream. This charity recognises that nothing is impossible, and everyone should be encouraged to follow their dreams. Providing aviation scholarship opportunities truly is a fantastically rewarding way to treasure Harvey’s legacy and keep his love of flying and memory alive.
